THE FACES BEHIND ATELIER CONTENT
Atelier Content is named after its founder, Nele Content. She differentiates herself by a radical focus on elegance and comfort, with no compromises. But of course she is not alone. Atelier Content is what it is thanks to the endlessly passionate work of our Belgian and Italian team members. They all make their own unique contribution to the allure of our shoes and handbags and our brand.
NELE
Founder l Creative Director
She is driven by freedom. She wants to do her own thing, and wants the same freedom for everyone else. Atelier Content allows her and her husband (pictured right) to build their lives around their work, and also to make time to play with their children.
DAGERAAD
Co-Founder l Managing Director
Efficiency and automation are his thing. To get started he needs coffee, but once he’s in the groove he’s hard to prise away from his screen and his work. After working hours, he plays board games or with his children’s Lego :)
CARINE
Management Assistant
She processes mountains of administration with the greatest pleasure. She cares for us like a beloved mother. At 10 o’clock she sings along quietly to Prince without losing concentration. She brings order into our team (and chocolate!).
STEFANIE
Sales Manager
She enjoys going on the road in her search for the most beautiful shoe shops and boutiques for the Atelier Content collections. After travelling and lugging all those shoes around, she relaxes and winds down with yoga and elaborate brunches with family and friends.
LIEN
Art Director
She is the ray of sunshine in the office. She sculpts and crafts images and words, making everything more beautiful in the process. She loves good food and likes to collect plenty of shoes and friends around her.
ALEXANDRA
Creative Assistant | Content Creator
She is the early bird of the office. Snipping, editing, and piecing together beautiful videos that capture the heart of Atelier Content. She loves painting, and enjoys long bike rides. Everywhere she goes, she gathers inspiration.
TOBIA
Multi-site Shop Manager
With great care, she helps every customer find the perfect pair. In the store in Ghent, and soon in Antwerp as well, she ensures everything runs smoothly, both front and back of house. She’s a true plant lover who enjoys fresh pasta, good music, and visiting museums.
SASKIA
Sales Advisor
With her radiant energy and generous smile, she creates a warm atmosphere in the Ghent store. She’s known for her love of sweets, something she happily shares with her colleagues. She helps every customer with enthusiasm, an eye for detail, and a genuine heart for service.
CHRISTEL
Shop Manager
Service and kindness come naturally to her. Always cheerful, she takes care of the customers in our Antwerp store. On weekends she recharges with salsa dancing, and in the kitchen she conjures up the most delicious dishes. Her world wouldn’t be complete without music and her beloved little granddaughter.
SOUAD
Sales Advisor
In our Antwerp store, she’s always ready to help every customer find the perfect match with her radiant smile. Outside of work she enjoys staying active, loves getting lost in a good book, and draws energy from long walks in nature.
JADE
Design and Production Assistant
She assists Nele in every aspect of the creation and production process, bringing calm and clarity to the chaos. In her free time she loves to dive deep, literally during holidays, and figuratively in her aquarium filled with colourful freshwater fish. She adores Christmas, and a piece of pure dark chocolate makes her day complete.
Every pair of Atelier Content shoes passes through the skilled hands of our colleagues in the workshops in Italy. They breathe life into Nele’s designs and finish every shoe right down to the finest details.
Meet a few members of our team in Italy.
ALICE
Sampling and quality Control Manager
With precision and care, Alice closely oversees the production of the samples. She visits the Italian suppliers and manufacturers on a daily basis. Her sharp eye for detail ensures the top quality our shoes and handbags are known for. Every challenge that comes her way, she handles smoothly and expertly.
CLAUDIA
Production Coordinator
Claudia runs one of the Italian ateliers in Porto Sant’Elpidio together with her brother. She organizes production, coordinates all processes, and acts as the main point of contact for the entire workshop. She handles orders and invoices, solves problems, and forms the connecting link between the different departments. Claudia has been working with Nele since 2015; they know each other well and share a close bond.
FABIO
Production and Sampling Coordinator
Fabio is the driving force behind one of our ateliers, located in the beautiful hills of Montegranaro in Italy. Together with his father and a team of dedicated craftsmen, he creates the most comfortable shoes. His pride in craftsmanship continues to inspire everyone time and again.
MICHELE
Prototype Development
Michele transforms creative ideas into tangible prototypes. Based on design sketches, he works closely with pattern makers, last makers, and technical teams. Together with his sister Claudia, he continues the family business in a modern and forward‑thinking way. Besides his passion for shoes, he spends his weekends as a DJ.
RENZO
Upper cutting technician
Renzo is the paterfamilias and has more than 50 years’ experience. He likes to use his knowledge of all parts of the production process to help out in every department when needed.
ANTONELLA
Upper stitcher
For more than 30 years, Antonella has been in charge of stitching all the prototypes and she organises the stitching for the whole production process.
AGOSTINO
Heel Construction Technician
He attaches or replaces heels, ensuring perfect alignment for balance, comfort, and durability. With a skilled use of tools like hammers, grinders, and adhesives, his craftsmanship guarantees every pair is built to last.
DONATELLA
Shoe finishing | Packaging Operator
During her 30-year career, she has built up an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the production process and is responsible for the final quality control before the shoe is packaged and leaves the workshop.
ROSSANO
Outsoles Technician | Press operator
With precision, he positions the outsole to match the shoe’s design, then secures it using manual pressure followed by a mechanical press. With the help of a specialized oven, he checks that the adhesive has properly set—guaranteeing a flawless and durable finish.
GESSICA
Upper Ironing
She is responsible for the finishing touches on every shoe: carefully ironing out creases in the uppers, brushing and cleaning each pair, and nourishing the leather with creams when needed.
MARCO
Warehouse Coordinator
Marco, Claudia’s husband, manages the warehouse. He receives and unpacks deliveries, gathers orders, and prepares everything for shipment. With his logistical talent, he ensures that the entire process runs smoothly and works closely with the team.
